A new course, serious infrastructure and a team that backs you to deliver. London Airlinks is an 18-hole links-style course in West London, just off junction 3 of the M4. It was built from the ground up on the former Heston Aerodrome site, opened in 2023, and it has been designed to play all year round. USGA-specification greens, advanced drainage, modern irrigation, a 25-bay Toptracer range and a busy clubhouse. It is a proper facility with real footfall and it is growing fast under Link Golf UK’s management.

We need a Head Greenkeeper who can match the ambition. Someone who understands what it takes to keep a modern, high-traffic course in top condition 12 months a year and who wants the autonomy to get on with it. If you have spent your career battling committees for every bag of seed, this is different. Link Golf UK is a professional management group. You will report to people who understand golf operations because they have worked in them. When you make a case for investment, it gets heard. When you deliver results, they get noticed.

Why Link Golf UK? We are a forward-thinking, people-first organisation built by golf industry professionals. No committees, no politics, no late-night committee meetings. Just professional management, clear communication and a genuine focus on doing things properly. We believe in fairness, respect and giving people room to grow. Every team member is valued, supported and encouraged to develop. We promote a healthy work-life balance and reward people who make a difference. Link Golf UK is expanding nationally. Strong performers move up. This isn’t a dead-end role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will have full ownership of the course and the greenkeeping operation.
  • Planning and delivering the year-round maintenance programme across greens, tees, fairways, rough and practice areas including the Toptracer range outfield.
  • Maintaining USGA-specification greens and tees to a consistently high standard.
  • Getting the most out of the drainage and irrigation systems to keep the course firm, fast and playable through the winter months.
  • Leading on turf health, disease prevention and integrated pest management.
  • Overseeing bunker maintenance, pathways and course furniture.
  • Planning and delivering improvement projects and renovation work.
  • Running the greenkeeping budget and getting the most out of every pound.
  • Managing machinery maintenance, servicing and procurement.
  • Recruiting, training and leading the greenkeeping team.
  • Setting standards, managing rotas and developing your staff.
  • Maintaining full compliance with health and safety, chemical application and environmental regulations.
  • Keeping accurate records for spraying, fertiliser use and regulatory reporting.
  • Working closely with the General Manager and Link Golf UK’s operations team.
  • Communicating maintenance plans and any course disruptions clearly and early.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Head Greenkeeper, Course Manager or Deputy Head Greenkeeper, or a Senior Greenkeeper ready to step into a Head Greenkeeper role for the first time.
  • Solid knowledge of turf management, agronomy and modern greenkeeping methods, ideally with experience on links or links-style courses.
  • PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing or supervising a greenkeeping team and budget.
  • Comfortable with modern irrigation and drainage systems.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Sports Turf Management or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Chainsaw certification desirable.
  • On a personal level, we want someone who leads from the front. Someone who takes pride in presentation, sets the standard through their own work, and brings the team with them. The course is busy and visible, so you will need to be organised, proactive and a clear communicator. Flexibility for early starts, weekends and extended hours during peak season is part of the deal.

What you’ll get:

  • Salary: £36,000 - £40,000.
  • Complimentary golf and range access across all Link Golf UK venues.
  • Staff discounts at all Link Golf UK sites nationally.
  • Support for professional development and relevant qualifications.
  • Clear progression within a growing national group.
  • The backing and autonomy to actually get things done.

Applications close on Friday 10th April 2026.
