Role Overview
The Managing Director, Golf Envy UK will serve as the senior leader responsible for launching, scaling, and protecting the Golf Envy brand throughout the United Kingdom. This is a builder role for an operator who understands franchising, unit economics, real estate, and systems. This role will need to be a player‑coach, as the operation is building. We are looking for someone that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. This role will be accountable for building the operational foundation that allows Golf Envy to scale across the UK while protecting the integrity of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- UK Expansion & Leadership
- Lead the end‑to‑end launch of Golf Envy in the UK
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for UK growth and execution
- Act as the UK brand steward, ensuring consistency with US standards
- Franchise Operations & Development
- Qualify and approve UK franchisees in partnership with US leadership
- Support franchisees through site selection, build‑out, opening, and early operations
- Enforce franchise standards and systems without compromising brand integrity
- Real Estate & Site Selection
- Oversee UK site selection strategy across retail, industrial, and flex locations
- Review and approve LOIs, leases, and site economics
- Build and manage relationships with UK commercial brokers
- Vendor & Infrastructure Build‑out
- Establish and manage UK‑specific vendors including accounting, payroll, HR, marketing, communications, and merchandise
- Adapt US systems for UK compliance and scalability
- Training & Support
- Help establish Golf Envy’s UK training framework
- Support early franchise openings with hands‑on leadership
- Assist in building a UK training hub and field support team
- Financial Oversight
- Understand and manage UK unit economics
- Oversee VAT treatment, royalties, and financial flows
- Provide regular performance reporting to US leadership
- Establish and oversee UK financial infrastructure including franchise fee invoicing, royalty collection processes, and coordination with UK accounting partners
- Monitor financial performance trends across UK franchisees and ensure disciplined reporting and compliance standards are maintained

- Assist in adapting the Golf Envy Operations Manual for UK‑specific requirements
- Ensure UK clubs operate within approved SOPs
