Join Our Greenkeeping Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the best golf resorts on the Norfolk coast. As a Greenkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the golf courses at Searles Golf Club and Heacham Manor Golf Club. Working part‑time as a valued member of our Greenkeeping Team, you will bring enthusiasm, energy, and pride to your work. We are looking for someone friendly, confident, and professional, who provides a welcoming approach when dealing with team members, golf members, guests, visitors, contractors and suppliers. You will contribute to delivering beautifully presented courses that meet the high expectations of our members and guests, ensuring safety, quality, and excellent standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Course & Grounds Maintenance
- Day‑to‑day preparation of the golf course and practice facilities
- Mowing, bunker maintenance, turf care, and general course setup
- Driving range maintenance and ball collection
- Cutting grass using pedestrian and ride‑on mowers, strimmers, and other machinery
- Raking bunkers, repairing pitch marks, marking hazards and GUR
- Supporting seasonal renovation and course improvement projects
- Safe operation, upkeep, and cleaning of greenkeeping machinery
- Completing essential maintenance checks and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring all equipment, vehicles, and tools are used safely and correctly
- Maintaining flower beds and grounds around Heacham Manor Hotel
- Ensuring all areas remain attractive, functional, welcoming, and safe
- Maintaining a tidy, organised workspace
- Reporting defects and hazards promptly
- Following all company Health & Safety guidance and compliance requirements
- Participating in training, team meetings, and supporting company standards and values
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience & Skills
- Experience in greenkeeping or grounds maintenance (desirable)
- Experience using garden machinery, mowers, and equipment
- Ride‑on mower experience (certificate desirable)
- Experience with tractor driving & reversing trailers (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality work
- Manual handling skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Professional, reliable, organised, and well‑presented
- Confident communicator
- Strong work ethic and good timekeeping
Requirements
- Full valid UK driving licence is essential due to use of company vehicles
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required
Hours of Work
24 hours per week (yearly average), including weekend and bank holiday working hours. Fixed Term position until 30/09/2026
Salary: ÂŁ15,862.08 per annum, pro rata.
