Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: On-Site Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £26,824 (Level one) rising to £27,694 (Level Three) per annum (pro rata for part-time) (Pay award pending)

About the Role:

To facilitate the submission of Housing Benefit and Discretionary Housing Payment claims for households residing in emergency accommodation or transitioning into private rented accommodation, and to support the Temporary and Supported Accommodation Team in maximising income recovery linked to the provision of emergency accommodation.

About You:

  • Ability to advocate and negotiate on behalf of citizens and offer independent advice.
  • Drive and motivation, ability to deliver against challenging objectives.
  • Ability to be creative, to identify problems and work to create solutions.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation in the public and private sector.

An enhanced DBS check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
