An opportunity has arisen to work as part of the HR & People Hub in the Business Support Services Team within Adults & Communities as a Senior Administrative Assistant based at Bassett Street South Wigston. The role involves supporting the Hub Manager in delivering the work of a specialist Hub, providing an efficient, effective, and comprehensive business support service across all of Adults & Communities. Candidates should have specialist technical knowledge in the work of the Hub they are assigned to and hold in-depth knowledge of the work of the department and services that their allocated Hub supports.

About You

  • NVQ level 2 qualification in a relevant area e.g. Finance or Business Administration or similar appropriate equivalent
  • Experience working with a large range of stakeholders at varying levels
  • Understanding the importance of information confidentiality (GDPR)
  • A flexible approach and ability to work under pressure against tight timescales
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Competence in note-taking (turning conversation into concise points and accurately capturing actions and decisions) in various meetings, including those with service users and partners present
  • The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post and remains calm and focused when under pressure
