A Personal Assistant is required to promote independent skills and provide social support.
Role Requirements:
- 9 hours a week, to be worked flexibly on Monday, Tuesdays, evenings or on Saturdays.
- You will be required to support the client with:
- Planning a meal, budgeting, shopping, prepping meals and cooking.
- Independent living skills such as laundry.
- Accessing the community and social interaction skills.
- Going to the gym, looking for another volunteering job or some paid work.
- Building confidence.
- Reducing anxieties about accessing the community.
- Road safety, particularly with regards to electric cars.
- Developing money skills.
The client has a Learning Disability, Di George Syndrome, moderately deaf, hyper mobile, high anxieties, and speech impairment. The client enjoys sports, football & gym, going for walks with their dog, and likes to go out to various places. They have an interest in fish and have a fish tank. The client enjoys various activities at home including watching series, relaxing, and having downtime. There are dogs and fish at the property.
Driving licence required. This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, patient, friendly, and respectful of others’ privacy, dignity, values, and beliefs. Genuine applicants only please.
