About the Role

The successful applicant will be joining a team who are responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate production of statutory returns and statistical information for internal and external partners including Ofsted, DFE and YJB. The role will be vital in ensuring the capturing and maintenance of high-quality information for the department, to include addressing data quality issues, supporting training and induction of new starters, and producing clear instructions on how to use systems effectively and efficiently. Team members develop their understanding of a variety of services within the department and will have an area of responsibility which will require the post holder to work effectively with minimal supervision.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • NVQ 3 or Equivalent in relevant area or equivalent level of relevant experience using case management systems or similar and recognising the importance of maintaining high standards of information within those systems.
  • Substantial experience in the effective use of Microsoft Office software, particularly EXCEL skills, and the ability to support others in their use and understanding of IT based systems.
  • Previous experience of collection and collation of data, performing calculations and the ability to analyse and interpret data/information and present it effectively.
  • Experience of working to strict timescales and meeting deadlines, with the ability to deal calmly and effectively with competing pressures.
  • Organised approach to work, with the ability to address and solve problems.
  • The ability to perform effectively as part of a team and to engage, motivate and direct the efforts of others towards agreed departmental objectives.
  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively, both written and verbally appropriate to the subject matter and audience.
