Contract Type: Fixed term contract/internal secondment for a period of 3 years

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Grade D - Starting Salary is £26,824 (Level one) rising to £27,694 (Level three)

Location: Harvey Road (NG8 3BB) will be the contracted base for this role, but the postholder will be expected to be able to travel to other offices including Loxley House (NG2 3NG) and work sites, as needed.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Data Administrator to join our Sustainable Energy Team within Housing Services at Nottingham City Council. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting customer-focused Asset Management programmes by ensuring our data is accurate, timely and reliable. You will manage and maintain asset data across multiple systems, inputting and validating information from a range of sources, resolving data issues and helping to continuously improve processes. You’ll produce reports and insights to support decision-making, respond to a high volume of enquiries from customers, colleagues and contractors, and help coordinate appointments and documentation in line with legislative and organisational requirements. Working collaboratively, you’ll contribute to delivering excellent customer experience, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and achieving value for money. You’ll also support the wider team with administrative tasks, financial processes and meeting coordination. This role is well suited to someone with strong data accuracy, communication and problem-solving skills who is committed to delivering high-quality services for our communities.

About You

  • Strong IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal, written and numerical communication skills.
  • A high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Effective communication skills with a clear customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse data and identify trends to support decision-making.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently, show initiative, and contribute positively as part of a team.
