About the Role:

As a Children’s Residential Social Care worker, you will work as part of a team, ensuring the holistic needs of the children are met. You will support children in all areas of their lives, such as forming positive relationships, health, education, family time and leisure activities. You will also contribute to making the house a home. You will work a shift pattern on a rota that you will have one month in advance, including shifts such as 2pm‑12 midnight (sleep‑in), 7am to 3pm, 8am‑4pm, and 2pm‑10am.

About You:

  • Have relevant personal or work experience of caring for children, young people or vulnerable adults.
  • Have an awareness of the social, cultural, emotional and physical developmental needs of children.
  • Be able to work as a team member and on your own initiative.
  • Be able to use varied communication methods well, including verbal, written and electronic.
  • Be willing to complete the level three diploma in residential care within two years of commencing employment.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
