We are looking for an experienced industry professional in Cinematography to work one day a week on Mondays, in Autumn, Spring and Summer terms, as an Associate Lecturer at the Goldsmiths campus in New Cross.
- Key Duties
- To deliver teaching of Cinematography theory and practice at postgraduate level in line with the programme's established workflows and protocols.
- To liaise closely with the Technical Tutor (Cinematography) who delivers technical instruction on safe and appropriate use of the cine equipment and facilities.
- To teach advanced Cinematography skills to students on the MA Filmmaking Specialist Skills: Cinematography module, one day per week in term time throughout the year.
- To teach the history, aesthetics and practice of Cinematography in screen storytelling.
- To supervise students in the specialist area of Cinematography on the MA Filmmaking Final project.
- To conduct personal tutorials with students.
- To assess, give guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback on student work.
- To use your excellent industry links to help secure industry mentorships for students.
- To liaise with colleagues in Directing, Producing, Editing and Sound Design Pathways to contribute to the good coordination between each of the programmes.
- To attend meetings about production, recruitment and planning as required with colleagues and students.
- Additional Duties
- In addition, you will be required to undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required.
- At all times to carry out your responsibilities with due regard to the College Code on Equality and Diversity/ /Dignity at Work Policy.
- At all times to help maintain a safe working environment by attending training as necessary and following the College’s Health and Safety Codes of Practice and Policy.
