Gold’s Gym is growing fast and looking for a General Manager to help us provide world-class service to our clubs and members by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products and programs. You will cultivate the club\’s culture by assembling a team committed to our mission, helping others reach their goals, and promoting community health and wellness. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a fully engaged and high-performing membership team
- Meeting project and departmental goals within budgets
- Enforcing club rules and policies
- Staffing the club through application review and interviews
- Driving results in Service and Fitness categories
- Planning and coordinating club functions to maximize profits
- Recruiting, training, and developing team members
- Mentoring club leaders and fostering a culture of trust
- Problem-solving and creating a positive member and team experience
- Establishing goals and strategies with department leaders
- Cross-training team members for versatility
- Promoting teamwork and collaboration
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to grow our member community
Must-haves:
- 3-5 years of management experience supervising 3-10 employees
- 5-7 years of retail/hospitality/operations experience
- Experience managing P&L and trend reports
- Proven success in team creation or rebuilding
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience turning around departments or teams
- Strategy and delegation skills
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor\’s preferred
- CPR and AED certification
- Bilingual preferred
Physical requirements:
The role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional demeanor, clear communication, and a neat appearance in uniform.
