Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in comprehensive wealth management plans for high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and select institutions. The Investment Strategy Group (ISG) is responsible for strategic and tactical asset‑allocation views and advice. The Strategic and Quantitative Asset Allocation (SQAA) team within ISG delivers asset‑allocation advice and manages innovative investment products for clients’ portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the research on Private Assets in ISG
- Demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills
- Show a keen interest in understanding the financial markets, particularly private markets
- Interact with the firm’s current and prospective clients
- Coordinate with other teams across Goldman Sachs (such as Global Investment Research, Alternative Capital Markets, External Investing Group, etc.)
Qualifications
- Outstanding academic background, preferably a PhD or Masters in Finance or Economics from a top department
- Academic or Industry experience working with Private Assets data
- Experience with econometric and machine learning techniques
- Expertise in Python and/or other modeling platforms (Matlab, R, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Attention to detail, patience, and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
- Collaborative, teamwork-oriented and having strong interpersonal skills
- Independent, logical, and critical thinking, with the willingness to constantly think outside of the box
