Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) is a part of the Client Solutions Group (CSG) within Asset & Wealth Management (AWM). ACF manages capital raising and strategy for alternatives investments across the full spectrum of alternatives including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, GP stakes, and hedge funds / liquid alternatives. Within ACF, team members work within product verticals and collaborate across strategies to identify portfolio‑wide solutions. They also partner with other teams within ACF, and across CSG, investing teams and wealth‑management teams. Professional development initiatives provide opportunities to enhance expertise across all alternative investment products, and to sharpen market knowledge from industry experts investing across the Firm.

Responsibilities
- Unique opportunity for a lawyer to join ACF in a non‑legal role to work on fund formations/bespoke mandates
- Working with GS functional teams (legal, tax, controllers, operations) on fund structuring
- Reviewing offering documents (PPMs, LPAs, etc.)
- Liaise with clients and product teams on execution of mandates
- Managing side letter negotiations
- Partnering with operational teams on day‑to‑day fund management matters
- Serving as a resource to global ACF team and other GS teams on general fund matters
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate would have a legal background, and 5‑10 years of fund formation experience at a large law firm and/or sponsor
- Experience with credit funds is preferred (but not required)
