Vice Presidents in Private Equity Investing are part of a talented team of investment professionals responsible for the acquisition and management of investments. You will play a critical role in the execution and management of private equity investments. The role involves leading execution, managing due diligence processes, supporting portfolio companies and management teams, and working closely with leadership on investment strategy and deal sourcing.
The ideal candidate has between 6 and 8 years' fullâtime experience in finance, the majority being in a private equity investing role. We are looking for highly motivated team players who are passionate about investing and want to build a longâterm career at Goldman Sachs.
- Leading and managing endâtoâend deal execution across the investment lifecycle, leading key transaction workstreams
- Understanding and maintaining comprehensive financial models
- Sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities, developing investment theses and undertaking significant due diligence responsibilities
- Leading deal structuring, negotiating and documenting investments, including preparation of Investment Committee material
- Supporting portfolio companies in strategic and operational projects including acquisitions, financings, asset sales, and capital allocation decisions
- Managing value creation initiatives at healthcare portfolio companies, alongside management teams and operating advisors.
Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and have an excellent academic and professional record
- Minimum of 6 years' full time typically across investment banking or private equity investing. Proven track record of involvement in multiple transactions (primarily Healthcare)
- Clear understanding of the European healthcare industry, including key subsector trends, thematics, current dynamics, and risks
- Proven ability to interact and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including Câsuite and management team
- Strong analytical and commercial judgment, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities and identify key value drivers and risks
- Work effectively in a fastâpaced environment and keen to take on responsibility
- Open, flexible, positive and proactive attitude. Detail orientation and high motivation to effectively contribute to the team's success
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Resourceful approach to problemâsolving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. European language skills are a plus.
