Executive Compensation
The Executive Compensation team is responsible for a wide and varied remit including regulatory reporting, remuneration disclosures, remuneration governance, and responding to the European remuneration regulations, which includes having an important input into remuneration design, across a number of different jurisdictions and regulatory regimes in the EMEA region. The team also manages other key activities such as Material Risk Taker determination and management, dealing with senior employee compensation matters and handling employee equity queries, in addition to a variety of firmwide projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
The successful individual will be involved in the following activities across various different entities across the EMEA region:
- Preparation / review of regulatory submissions
- Determination of Material Risk Taker population
- Preparation / review of public remuneration disclosures
- Drafting responses to regulatory queries
- Preparation of materials for remuneration committee meetings
- Involvement in ad hoc projects, as required, to respond to changes in remuneration rules or changes in global firm policy
- Other annual executive remuneration processes
- Coordinate with colleagues in the Firmwide Compensation team – together with other departments such as Equity Compensation, Benefits, Mobility, Recruiting, Controllers, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit and Tax
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in performing and developing in this role, you will need to demonstrate exposure and experience in the majority of the following areas:
- Good functional knowledge of Executive Compensation practices and European remuneration regulations
- Good communication and relationship management skills – ability to understand and articulate complex issues
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills – an ability to review current processes and/or data, detect and correct errors, take responsibility for data quality, and have a solution-based mindset to work through challenges
- Project management – prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and consider requirements of Firmwide functions, divisions and regions
- Client service focus, notable responsiveness and a \”can-do\” attitude
- Good judgment – knowing when to escalate an issue combined with a willingness to be flexible
- Strong Excel skills required
- Thorough attention to detail
