Job Description

The candidate will have responsibility for a broad range of day-to-day tasks including:

  • Advising deal teams on approval requirements for different transaction types
  • Scheduling, ensuring smooth operation of, and minuting follow ups for Capital or Commitments committees in various forms (regular, ad hoc, and offline meetings and various delegated processes)
  • Initiating risk bookings post transaction signing via approval of eCARs, working with Controllers, Middle Office and Divisional Risk to ensure accurate reflection of risk on the balance sheet
  • Deputized responsibilities on behalf of Chief Underwriting Officers including presentation of transactions to committee; approval of Investment Grade bond issuances; and closing of committee follow-ups
  • Assistance in roll-out of regulatory driven changes to approval processes and committee memoranda templates in coordination with Engineering, Credit Risk and GBM Private Leadership
  • Coordination of responses to both internal and external audits and periodic regulatory examinations
  • Acting as a team lead by advising and training junior team members

Skills & Experience Required

  • At least 4-5 years of related experience
  • Interest in debt and equity capital markets
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral as well as written
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Motivated to develop credit and equity analysis skills and an understanding of financing documentation
  • Ability to work well with team members and across multiple other internal teams, motivated to train and advise junior team members
