YOUR IMPACT
We are looking for a Data MI Reporting Manager to join our Business Insights and Analytics team who has a passion for Data and MI and a deep understanding of its importance in shaping and driving a successful customer-oriented business. Our team is critical in providing quality data and MI solutions ensuring the ability for the business to understand the commercial and operational performance that ensures business flows smoothly when customers come to us. From day one, this role will play a vital role in the three customer support principles of customer focus, process innovation and risk management.
Summary & Responsibilities
- Data Stewardship: Act as a data steward, ensuring the accuracy, consistency and reliability of data sources across various sources and reporting tools.
- Data Governance: Implement and uphold data governance practices, ensuring compliance with data quality standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Data Management: Oversee the management of data sources, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes into BI Tools to ensure data integrity and availability for reporting.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, processes, and governance procedures to promote transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, business divisions, and other data stewards to ensure alignment on data definitions, metrics, and reporting methodologies.
- Data Source Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop new data sources necessary for comprehensive reporting and analytics.
- Data Shaping: Shape and refine data sets to meet reporting requirements, ensuring it is clean, accurate, and well-structured for analysis and visualization.
- Reporting Delivery: Develop, maintain and enhance MI and insights capabilities through delivery of reports and dashboards.
- Release Management: Manage the release of reports and dashboards, ensuring timely updates and adherence to project timelines.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor data pipelines and reporting solutions for performance issues, conducting troubleshooting and resolution of data discrepancies or outages.
Requirements
- Proven experience in reporting and data management, or a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector, specifically Savings.
- Strong Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Sound understanding of data governance principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional stakeholder and communication skills, capable of conveying complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A desire to help others work towards targets and develop their skills.
- Ability to manage and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Must be self-directed, detail oriented, positive attitude, driven, able to work independently in a team-oriented and fast paced environment with a passion to deliver exceptional service to customers.
- Is adaptable, high-energy levels and desire to help others.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Regulatory requirements in the banking sector (e.g., GDPR, PSD2, Consumer Duty).
- Business Intelligence (BI) concepts and frameworks, enabling the ability to design and develop effective data and reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
- Familiarity with customer case management tools to leverage customer insights.
- Experience with Snowflake and AWS for data storage, processing, and management.
- Understanding of Big Data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is advantageous.
