This Analyst/Associate will work on the client communications team and play a key role in developing messaging, client communications toolkits and executing the strategy for Asset Management client communications in EMEA as well as those that are part of global initiatives. They will partner with client-facing businesses, investment teams, internal communications and the corporate communications team, working across multiple stakeholders and functions to build alignment. Topics of communication may include organizational updates (e.g., acquisitions or investment team changes), product developments, significant market events or regulatory changes, awards, or press coverage. The Analyst will work across the Asset Management marketing team on messaging related to client communications that may be amplified through various channels (e.g., social media).

Position Responsibilities

  • Client communication development and implementation: Working across client channels and products, assess need for communications, identify opportunities or situations for client communication engagement, determining target audience/impact and plan for implementation.
  • Collateral: Develop and create relevant collateral/communications toolkit in collaboration with relevant business partners; work closely with respective teams to craft press releases, social posts and internal communications as needed.
  • Alignment: Work with team on various reviews, approvals, fact-checking and proofing for full set of communications, vetting feedback from stakeholders.
  • Communications calendar: Map out communications in a strategic and thoughtful manner, with the goal of optimizing client and sales team experience as well as potential media/press coverage outcomes.
  • Awards: Partner with firmwide marketing and media relations to help drive awards strategy and amplification.
  • Social media: Partner with Social Media lead when relevant to ensure appropriate messaging is reflected in any social amplification of communications or press.
  • Risk management: Maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and procedural guidelines for all marketing communications including proactive management of operational risk.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a similar client communications role within a comparable leading financial institution.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write in an organized, thoughtful, and well-reasoned manner, synthesizing complex information from multiple sources to develop clear and concise messaging that is relevant for our clients and easy to understand.
  • Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail in all aspects of work, within communications themselves and in execution of the communication strategy.
  • Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards; ability to remain flexible and pivot strategy and plans based on new information.
  • Previous experience working closely with public relations and/or social media teams, and an awareness of how to market and communicate effectively within those channels is also helpful.
  • Understanding of various types of Asset Management clients and products, with the ability to proactively identify and anticipate their questions, needs, concerns or impacts related to changes.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders or functions, including senior leadership, managing conflicting opinions and problem solving to reach a solution.
  • Demonstrated communication and integrated marketing skills across strategy and execution; ability to leverage subject matter experts throughout broader organization in pursuit of effective outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS).
