We are looking for a Vice President to join the EMEA Real Estate team in London to focus on origination and execution of new credit investments across Europe for the Real Estate Credit Partners ("RECP") fund series. RECP is one of the world's largest performing real estate credit originators and is currently investing its fourth fund, having deployed more than $20bn since 2009 in high yielding senior, mezzanine and construction loans to high quality sponsors. The role will include direct responsibility for originating, underwriting, and executing on new investments for the fund in Europe, working in close collaboration with the rest of the Real Estate Debt and Equity team professionals regionally and globally, as well as the wider firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all aspects of investment transactions, from origination to underwriting, structuring, due diligence and execution.
- Manage a deal team typically consisting of an associate and analyst for each transaction and all external advisors.
- Closely collaborate with regional and sector coverage investing and asset management teams, the Loan Asset Management team, construction and ESG professionals.
- Present to external and internal stakeholders (Investment Committee, fund LP presentations, etc).
- Build and develop sponsor coverage relationships.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Track record of sourcing and executing credit deals and deep sponsor relationships from transaction experience with Debt Capital Markets and Equity Investment teams in top Private Equity firms.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong sense of ownership.
- Ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Finance, Business, or other applicable field and have an excellent academic and professional record.
- 8+ years' experience required in Real Estate Finance - prior experience in a loan origination role in a similar organisation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A self-starter and proactive team player with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility and ability to influence.
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities with strong organizational and time management skills and ability to work well under pressure in a team with a positive attitude.
- European languages a plus.
