ROLE OVERVIEW
Our Transaction Bankers are responsible for deepening relationships with our clients and acting as trusted advisors for all their cash management needs. The successful candidate will be expected to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, both in the Transaction Bank and the broader GS franchise. Transaction Bankers use technical expertise to solution customized cash management offerings with clients by owning the entire lifecycle of the client journey; qualifying, prospecting, solutioning and driving revenue opportunities for the Transaction Banking business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive and own revenue opportunities for Transaction Banking products across our client base as well as owning the client strategy.
- Deliver creative and customized treasury solutions to clients, leveraging international payments expertise.
- Deepen and broaden knowledge and expertise on industry trends and the competitive landscape.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across the Investment Bank, Corporate Derivatives, Risk, etc. to help deliver “One Goldman Sachs” to some of the world’s largest and most complex clients including large multinationals, government institutions, financial institutions, corporate and commercial entities.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Exhibit extensive experience in managing and growing a diverse portfolio of corporate clients across the market capitalization spectrum, including large, middle, and small-cap companies.
- The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to navigate various industry verticals and adapt transaction banking strategies to meet the distinct needs of clients ranging from global blue-chip multinationals to high-growth, emerging middle-market firms.
- Strong academic record with Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent or above required.
- Ability to lead Global RFP processes, with a desire to host regular in-person payments sessions with clients.
- Ability to collaborate with extensive array of partners both within Transaction Banking and across GS.
- Commitment to excellence, creativity and a high level of integrity, with a diligent mindset.
- Desire to work in a fast-facing, lean environment, engaging with senior stakeholders across GS.
- Effective risk manager that can work with first and second lines of defense to ensure client framework is in place.
- Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to manage time effectively.
