ROLE SUMMARY
The FX Product Manager is pivotal in providing the direction and end-to-end management of FX products embedded within Transaction Banking, with responsibility for defining and implementing FX product strategy, understanding risks, developing new capabilities, and driving commercialization. The role requires deep understanding of FX flows within payments, including cross-border and cross-currency solutions, as well as the ability to translate client needs and market trends into scalable product solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- End-to-End Product Ownership
- Lead development and scaling of FX capabilities across payments and receivables, overseeing all phases from concept to post-launch optimization
- Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering complex, multi-phase product initiatives to completion
- Subject Matter Expertise
- Serve as a subject matter expert in FX solutions within transaction banking, including pricing, execution, and settlement
- Apply technical expertise to design solutions spanning payment flows, APIs, and file formats (e.g., ISO 20022, pain.001)
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and operational requirements
- Product Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Servicing teams to deliver integrated FX and payments solutions
- Translate market opportunities and client needs into differentiated digital products
- Align deliverables with risk management frameworks and business
- Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders across regions
- Maintain focus on delivery timelines, quality, and scalability using agile methodologies
- Define and manage product requirements using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Go-To-Market & Commercialization
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive client adoption of FX capabilities
- Define product KPIs and leverage data to inform decision making
- Partner with Sales teams in client engagements, translating requirements into actionable solutions
- Support pricing strategy development to drive revenue growth and client value
- Technical Product Development
- Work closely with Engineering to design, build, and enhance FX product capabilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues across FX transactions, payment flows, and integrations
- Leverage data and automation to improve product performance and client experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 6–8 years of experience in FX, payments, or fintech-related roles
- Experience as a product manager or product development lead
- Strong understanding of FX pricing, transaction flows, and cross-border payments
- Proven track record of delivering product initiatives end-to-end
- Experience partnering with Engineering and Operations teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Preferred
- Experience with FX embedded within transaction banking or payments platforms
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 and global payment formats
- Familiarity with APIs, automation, and data-driven product development
- Experience supporting client-facing product discussions and commercialization
