Goldman Sachs is looking for a Test Manager to join the growing Product team within the Assets & Wealth Management Division. The Test Manager will play a pivotal role within our Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) function, contributing significantly to the quality assurance of our products, with a particular focus on deposits and core banking functionalities. This role is designed for an ambitious and detail-oriented individual with a foundational understanding of software testing principles and a keen interest in financial services.
Working closely with the BAT Manager, this individual will support the planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities, ensuring that our solutions meet stringent business requirements, regulatory standards, and deliver an exceptional user experience. This role is based in our London office, fostering close collaboration with the BAT Manager, Product Managers, and Development teams. RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist the BAT Manager in developing comprehensive test strategies and plans for new features, enhancements, and regulatory changes related to our deposits platform.
- Contribute to the definition of testing scope, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business requirements and project timelines.
- Support the identification of assumptions, dependencies, and environmental needs for in-scope testing.
- Translate detailed business and functional requirements into clear, concise, and reusable test cases, focusing on positive, negative, and edge scenarios.
- Develop test cases specifically for banking applications, including scenarios for account creation, online deposits, transfers, and other core banking transactions.
- Ensure traceability between test cases and business requirements to validate complete coverage.
- Execute test cases manually and, where applicable, support automated test execution, meticulously recording test results.
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g. JIRA) from discovery through to resolution and closure.
- Collaborate with development teams and product managers to clarify issues, reproduce defects, and verify fixes.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Development teams to gain a deep understanding of product functionalities and business objectives.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospective meetings to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks.
- Provide regular progress updates and contribute to test reports for the BAT Manager and project stakeholders.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools within the Product team.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of test documentation and best practices.
- Proven ability to drive meaningful change in a controlled and agile manner.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

- Knowledge of iOS and/or Android mobile and tablet platforms.
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, with at least 1-2 years in the financial services or fintech industry.
- Proven experience with various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Exposure to testing financial applications, ideally with knowledge of deposits, payments, or core banking systems.
- Ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal stakeholders.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, consistently adhering to strict deadlines and evolving priorities.
