Growth Equity Investing

Goldman Sachs Asset Management invests in the full spectrum of alternatives, including private equity, growth equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure. Since 2003 the Growth Equity business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management comprising more than 65 individuals has invested over $16 billion in companies led by visionary founders and CEOs. We focus exclusively on investments in growth stage and technology‑driven companies spanning multiple industries, including enterprise technology, financial technology and healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing, identifying and evaluating attractive investment themes and opportunities;
  • Building relationships with management teams, senior advisors and external industry experts;
  • Financing and closing investments as well as developing, monitoring and implementing value creation strategies at our existing portfolio companies;

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic and professional record;
  • Between 2‑4 years of experience at a leading investment bank, strategy consulting firm and/or an investment role, ideally within the technology sector;
  • Highly motivated, well‑rounded, team players passionate about investing and eager to build a long‑term career at Goldman Sachs;
  • European language skills are strongly preferred;
  • Intellectually curious about technology and growth equity investing, eager to learn about new concepts and committed to ongoing personal development;
  • Entrepreneurial and tenacious, relentlessly working past obstacles to achieve exceptional outcomes, consistently taking the initiative to drive progress;
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling experience with robust analytical and problem‑solving skills;
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people, work effectively under pressure and keen to take on responsibility;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
