CORPORATE AND WORKPLACE SOLUTIONS consists of Corporate Services and Real Estate (CSRE) and the Office of Global Security (OGS). TEAM & ROLE OVERVIEW: Joining the Event Management team, you will partner with key business stakeholders and team members to develop and execute an event marketing strategy, which includes management of events and conferences with a keen focus on best practices, commercial excellence and consistency in delivery, along with effective risk management. Reporting to a senior Vice President within the Event Management Group in London, this role supports event strategy, providing project management support and overseeing the execution of events and conferences.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of firm events, overseeing all phases of execution including project planning, budgeting, venue and supplier management, logistics coordination, onsite delivery, and post-event evaluation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior executives, providing strategic guidance and ensuring event objectives are successfully achieved.
- Develop and manage event budgets throughout the full event lifecycle, ensuring adherence to approved spend, accurate financial tracking, timely invoice processing, and comprehensive post-event reconciliation.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop event strategies, content, and messaging that align with business objectives and the firm's brand standard.
- Provide project management expertise and advisory support to host teams, establishing clear timelines and deliverables, proactively identifying risk and governance to drive successful execution.
- Take ownership and be accountable for overall success of the event.
- Ensure adherence to firm policies, controls, and regulatory requirements, protecting the firm's reputation and maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and risk management.
- Continuously evaluate industry trends, technology solutions, and best practices to drive innovation and identify opportunities for enhancement of future events.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an event specialist in a fast paced environment, preferably with financial services experience.
- Knowledge in all aspects related to conferences and event management, including but not limited to budgeting, audio visual, stage production, registration, speaker management, and virtual event platforms.
- A relationship builder with superb stakeholder/relationship management skills.
- Results-oriented and exceptional time management skill - ability to balance multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer term, strategic focus.
- Creative strategist and problem solver who delivers dynamic solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high quality standards.
