YOUR IMPACT
Marcus by Goldman Sachs is looking to strengthen our Product Design capability in our London HQ. We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to come in and help expand the capabilities of our Design team as we focus on Growth, crafting seamless experiences. Our customer journeys predominantly take place over web and mobile — but all touch points are important, and we'd like someone to lead the thinking around consistency, usability, and customer delight.
In this role you will be responsible for partnering with key teams across the business including Operations, Engineering, Product Owners, Marketing, and Legal & Compliance (to name a few) to explore the many different approaches to solve end-user problems. - Own your work.
- Collaborate closely with Product & Engineering.

REQUIREMENTS
- A seasoned Product Design practitioner with extensive experience in using best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- Experience designing and delivering designs optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Experience of working in a regulated environment and having to balance operational, regulatory, and efficiency demands whilst still shipping products with outstanding design features, ideally within retail banking.
- Strong communication skills to discuss design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders, whether that be visual storytelling or your presenting style — how you communicate your ideas is as important as your designs.
- Experience/understanding with UX writing - preferred, but not essential.
- Great experience of thinking critically about Design processes and influencing how we work with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Engineers.
- Clear understanding of the importance of user-centred design and design thinking.
- A solid grasp of user-centred design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, usability, and accessibility concerns.
