Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Alternative Investment Platform manages over $400bn in assets across private equity, growth, credit, real estate assets, secondaries, and liquid alternatives strategies. The Alternatives Engineering team builds scalable technology platforms to support the investment servicing function.
Who we are looking for

Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable investment servicing platforms.
- Build systems to capture and manage investments across a diverse product set with complex funding structures.
- Collaborate with investment professionals, traders, operational teams, and control‑side stakeholders.
- Lead automation, digitization, and quantitative analytics initiatives across the investment life cycle.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related STEM subjects.
- 6+ years of experience as a full‑time software developer.
- Excellent programming and software design skills in at least one object‑oriented programming language.
- Experience with relational and/or non‑relational database technologies.
- Experience building interactive web applications with React or Angular, and an interest in adopting new technologies such as AWS.
- Pro‑active attitude to problem solving, ownership, responsibility, teamwork, and a strong growth mindset.
- Comfortable multi‑tasking, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a global team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal ability, presenting complex technical ideas to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Interest in finance (pre‑existing finance knowledge is a plus, but not required).
