ESG Controller
YOUR IMPACT
With regulators and governments focusing on sustainable finance and the role of financial institutions in capital flow to sustainable activities, there is rapid growth in ESG reporting and disclosure requirements. You will play a key role by providing robust sustainability reporting, helping to build stakeholder trust and confidence. As an ESG Controller, you will own the sustainability reporting process and support regional and global ESG reporting and implementation efforts. You will develop an understanding of Group and subsidiaries\’ business strategies, products, and technical sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements.
We seek a bright, driven professional to join our ESG Controllers team in London, eager to develop skills in high-quality reporting and analysis of our entities’ assets and sustainability in a dynamic environment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop processes and roadmaps for ESG reporting.
- Produce ESG metrics and disclosures impacting subsidiaries and the Goldman Sachs Group, managing reporting processes.
- Engage with external consultants and reporting solutions.
- Monitor compliance with local ESG regulatory reporting obligations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience, preferably in financial services, with an interest in Sustainable Finance and ESG reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-divisional collaboration.
- Curiosity to understand complex requirements and their impacts.
- Risk assessment and pragmatic decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Preferred but not essential: experience with reporting platforms, knowledge of sustainability standards, data management skills, and technology interest.
