- Carry out manual quality assurance checks on assembled units, identifying faults, defects or inconsistencies before products are packaged and shipped.
- Test incoming parts and components and perform appropriate checks during assembly to confirm that they are fit for use.
- Update and flash devices with the latest approved firmware as part of the build and test process.
- Carry out hardware diagnostics to identify and investigate faults in PCB's, SBC's and assembled units, supporting troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Use Linux shell commands and basic Python scripts where required during device configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
- Perform soldering and prototype board modifications, including cut and strap modifications, where required.

- Monitor component and consumable stock levels and support the controlled ordering and replenishment of parts to maintain production continuity.
- Package finished units ready for dispatch, ensuring products are protected and presented to a consistent standard.
- Maintain lab equipment, tools, components and stock in a safe, clean and organised manner.
- Follow technical documentation, build instructions, assembly drawings and test procedures accurately.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of build and test documentation.
- Identify recurring production, quality or component issues and work with Engineering, QA and Operations to support root-cause investigation and resolution.
- Support prototype builds, new product introduction and design for manufacture activities where required.
- Contribute to discussions around product quality, manufacturing efficiency and continuous improvement.
