A progressive, remote-first accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join its agile and close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accounting professional looking to make a real impact in a flexible, people-first workplace.
The Role
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to support junior team members, liaise with clients, and deliver high-quality financial reporting and advisory services.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ practice experience
- Proficiency in TaxCalc, Iris, and Xero
- Solid experience in preparing statutory accounts, CT600 returns, and Self Assessments
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns (CT600)
- Review and guide junior accountants’ workflows
- Manage and maintain relationships with overseas teams
- Review Self Assessment returns
- Provide client-facing financial advisory services
- Prepare management accounts, reports, and commentary (monthly/quarterly)
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax policies
- Handle HMRC correspondence and support audits
- Participate in internal and client meetings
- Conduct bookkeeping checks and internal accounting audits
- Contribute to team training and process improvements
