A well-established and friendly accountancy practice based in Kings Hill is currently seeking a qualified Accounts Manager to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACCA or ACA accountant with strong experience in accounts and tax to take the next step in their career with a pathway to Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing daily support and expert accountancy and tax advice
- Applying knowledge of bookkeeping and double-entry systems confidently and accurately
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, management accounts, year-end accounts, and account reconciliations
- Supporting the full tax return process from collation to submission for both individuals and companies
- Liaising with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients
- Attending in-person client meetings as required
- Delivering financial analysis and forecasting, offering insights and advice to help clients make informed decisions
- Assisting the Senior Accounts Manager with managing client workflows to meet key deadlines
- Supporting the training and development of an Accounts Senior
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Fully qualified ACCA or ACA
- Working knowledge of corporation and personal tax
- Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, CCH, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- A full UK driving licence is preferred and living within a commutable distance of Kings Hill.
