Job Description

We're thrilled to be working with a stylish and sophisticated gastropub located in an affluent Surrey village. Known for its relaxed atmosphere, this restaurant prides itself on offering a diverse selection of steaks and cocktails. They’re now seeking a talented Head Chef to elevate their kitchen operations and help maintain the establishment’s outstanding reputation.

You’ll be wondering what’s in it for you as the Head Chef…

  • £45,000 to £50,000 per annum package DOE plus up to a £4,000 bonus
  • Working 45 hours per week

Responsibilities as the Head Chef…

  • Overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring consistent high-quality food production, with a focus on perfecting steak dishes.
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating the kitchen team to maintain a positive, efficient working environment.
  • Creating and updating menus, specialising in steaks and seasonal dishes that align with the restaurant's concept.
  • Maintaining strict health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations and best practices.
  • Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability without compromising quality.
