This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a well-established, food-led restaurant in Berkshire with an outstanding reputation for quality and consistently busy service. The kitchen is centred around bold, modern dishes with a strong focus on premium steaks and robata grill cooking, using high-quality ingredients and confident cooking techniques.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional food while helping to lead and develop a passionate brigade in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.

What's in it for you as the Sous Chef?

  • £40,000 to £45,000 package (DOE) plus variable service charge of circa £3,000 to £4,000 per year and bonus of circa £2,000
  • Live-in accommodation available for £300 per month
  • 45-hour working week

What you'll be doing as the Sous Chef...

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and leading service when required
  • Remaining hands-on throughout service, ensuring consistently high standards across every section
  • Helping to train, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade
  • Contributing ideas for seasonal menu development and daily specials
