We’re delighted to be supporting a luxury country house hotel in Wiltshire, home to a Michelin‑starred restaurant and an exceptional reputation for refined dining, weddings and high‑end events. This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Sous Chef to step into a true number two position, working directly under a highly accomplished Executive Chef.
You’ll play a pivotal role in leading a talented 16‑strong brigade across fine dining, weddings and in‑room dining, all delivered from one central kitchen.
You’ll be wondering what’s in it for you as the Senior Sous Chef:
- £50,642 per annum plus £3,000 to £4,000 service charge
- Working 48 hours per week

Responsibilities as the Senior Sous Chef:
- Supporting and deputising for the Executive Chef across all kitchen operations
- Leading service across Michelin‑level dining, weddings and private events
- Managing and mentoring a brigade of 16 chefs
- Driving consistency, creativity and high standards across every dish
- Overseeing ordering, GP, stock control and kitchen organisation
- Maintaining exceptional food safety and allergen compliance
To be considered, you must have experience within a multi‑Rosette or Michelin‑starred environment and be confident operating at a consistently high level. This role would suit an established Senior Sous Chef looking to step into a prestigious country house setting, or a strong Sous Chef ready for that next serious move.
