A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Pastry Chef to join an acclaimed fine dining restaurant with rooms known for its refined seasonal menus and high culinary standards. Working within a close-knit and ambitious kitchen team, this role offers the chance to take ownership of pastry production while contributing creatively to the restaurant’s evolving dessert offering. This position would suit a mature and organised pastry professional looking for a long-term opportunity within a quality-driven environment. You’ll be wondering what’s in it for you as the Pastry Chef:

  • £30,000 to £32,000 per annum plus circa £2,000 to £4,000 service charge
  • 40 hours plus paid overtime
  • Live-in accommodation available
  • 4-day working week
  • Private healthcare
  • 29 days holiday per year
  • Structured holiday periods throughout January (3 weeks), June (1 week), and October (1 week), plus an extra week

About the Role:

  • 30-cover fine dining restaurant with rooms
  • Leading and organising the pastry section within a fine dining kitchen
  • Breakfast service Thursday to Sunday & Dinner service Wednesday to Saturday
  • Additional monthly event services, including seasonal lunches and special occasions
  • Working closely with senior chefs on new dessert development

Responsibilities as the Pastry Chef:

  • Running the pastry section daily
  • Maintaining ordering and stock levels
  • Producing high-level desserts, breads, and pastry items
  • Training and overseeing the pastry apprentice chef
  • Keeping a clean, organised, and efficient section at all times

Experience Required:

  • Strong fine dining pastry background ideally within 3 Rosette or Michelin-standard kitchens
  • Alternatively, at least 3 years within a quality 2 Rosette environment
  • Confident across all aspects of pastry, including chocolate work and laminated doughs
  • Creative approach to dessert development
  • Team-focused attitude with a mature and reliable approach
