Overview
Assist the driver with performing daily delivery functions as directed by the supervisor. Accompany the driver in the passenger seat of a commercial vehicle. Safely load and unload products at customer locations according to product invoices, customer expectations, and company policy, using hand, hand truck, or pallet jack. Assist the driver in maneuvering the vehicle safely by scanning the area and guiding as needed. Help complete paperwork as required.
Responsibilities
General Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Unload products according to customer specifications and QCD delivery procedures at customer locations.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers by providing excellent, courteous service.
- Assist the driver by handling, organizing, and securing inbound and outbound products, including empty trays, crates, totes, and pallets.
- Ensure accurate and consistent delivery of product orders.
- Read labels and printing on product containers and related documents.
- Count and verify quantities of products to ensure shipment accuracy.
- Assist with all aspects of route paperwork.
- Help the driver maneuver the truck safely by spotting and guiding as needed.
- Operate within safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintain excellent attendance.
- Perform any other assigned functions.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; previous experience in food distribution and frozen food handling preferred.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, directions, schedules, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work in ambient temperatures, including trailer compartments and outside temperatures.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.
- Maintain professional customer service relationships, reconciling over, short, and damaged goods as part of essential job functions.
