Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. This position is ideal for those who have a passion for helping others and possess the skills necessary to provide both physical and emotional support.
Duties
Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being.
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Provide specialised care for individuals requiring hospice care or those in assisted living environments.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care or childcare is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid procedures is an advantage.
Ability to provide patient care with empathy and respect for client dignity.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
A valid driver’s licence may be required depending on client needs.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
Certification in relevant areas such as nursing or caregiving is beneficial but not mandatory.
