Chartered Building Surveyor – Thames Valley Region

£40k – £75k + Benefits

I am recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded property consultancy that is looking for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to manage a diverse commercial portfolio in the Thames Valley and South region. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a leading firm and oversee a varied portfolio for clients.

About the Role:

My client is seeking a proactive and professional individual who can take complete ownership of a mixed-use portfolio. The role involves managing client relationships, resolving property management issues and identifying opportunities to enhance asset performance. You’ll be joining a dynamic team, where you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to team initiatives and mentor junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse property portfolio, ensuring all aspects of day-to-day management are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and tenants, providing regular reporting and updates.
  • Strategic Asset Management: Identify opportunities to maximise asset value and support portfolio-wide projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Support team leaders in delivering initiatives and mentor and train junior team members.
  • Service Delivery: Partner with Facilities Managers to oversee service charge budgets, tenant applications and reconciliations.
  • Business Development: Assist with tenders, presentations and cross-selling opportunities to grow the client base.

About You:

  • MRICS Qualified: Proven experience in commercial property management with a track record of building strong client relationships.
  • Client-Focused: Able to deliver best-in-class service and demonstrate a clear understanding of client requirements.
  • Highly Organised: Strong attention to detail, commercially astute and able to manage your time effectively.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A team player who can work with others to improve service delivery and contribute to team success.
  • Market Aware: An understanding of current property trends and the ability to adapt to evolving client needs.
