Water Hygiene Engineer – Reading
Up to £34,000 DOE + benefits
Are you a Water Hygiene Engineer looking for a role that offers genuine career progression and the chance to expand your technical skills? My client, a respected leader in environmental compliance services, is seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join their Reading-based team. This is a regional role, so the successful applicant will need to live within a commutable distance of the Reading area.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out temperature monitoring, outlet flushing, and disinfection works in line with ACOP L8 & HSG 274
- Performing closed system sampling and analysis
- Servicing and maintaining closed systems to ensure water quality compliance
- TMV servicing and replacements
- Tank inspections and producing condition reports
- Supporting remedial works as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in water hygiene engineering
- Proven closed system sampling and servicing experience
- Knowledge of ACOP L8 & HSG 274
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills
- Full UK driving licence
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working within the water hygiene industry, with hands‑on knowledge of closed systems. An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in plumbing is highly desirable, along with the ability to work independently, keep accurate records and communicate effectively with clients.
