We're working with a successful, UKAS-accredited Asbestos Management Consultancy that's looking to appoint an experienced Senior Asbestos Consultant to strengthen its technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong analytical background who's looking to take on a more influential role, providing technical assistance and guidance across the business whilst mentoring colleagues and helping to maintain the highest technical standards.
The Role
Working closely with senior management, you'll provide technical assistance and guidance to consultants, analysts and Project Managers, supporting the delivery of projects and ensuring compliance with UKAS standards and current HSG guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and guidance across the asbestos division.
- Support consultants, analysts and Project Managers on complex projects.
- Review technical reports and maintain UKAS, HSG248 and HSG264 compliance.
- Mentor and support the development of surveyors and analysts.
- Carry out technical audits and support quality assurance.
- Promote best practice and continuous improvement across the business.
About You
We're looking for an experienced asbestos professional with a strong analytical background and a passion for maintaining high technical standards.
Ideally, you'll have
- BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (P405 would be advantageous).
- Extensive experience in air fibre monitoring (AFM) and four-stage clearances.
- P402 surveying experience, including asbestos management and refurbishment & demolition surveys.
- Excellent knowledge of UKAS requirements, HSG248 and HSG264.
- Previous experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to colleagues.
- Full UK driving licence.
