We're working with a successful, UKAS-accredited asbestos management consultancy that's looking to strengthen its leadership team with an experienced Asbestos Operations Manager, or a senior asbestos professional looking to take the next step in their career. Joining a well-established and growing business, you'll play a key role in supporting operational performance, providing technical leadership and helping to shape the future of the asbestos division.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the asbestos department, supporting technical compliance and providing leadership to both office and site-based teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the asbestos division
  • Overseeing the scheduling and allocation of work across the team
  • Providing technical support and guidance to asbestos surveyors, analysts and project managers
  • Carrying out technical audits and quality checks
  • Ensuring compliance with UKAS accreditation and HSG guidance
  • Supporting training, mentoring and development of staff
  • Monitoring KPIs, productivity and service delivery
  • Acting as a key point of contact for both clients and internal teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement across operational processes

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background within the asbestos industry, with the ability to provide leadership, mentor others and support the continued development of the team. Applications are welcomed from experienced professionals currently working in senior technical, project management, operational or leadership positions within the asbestos industry.

Ideally, You'll Have:

  • BOHS P402, P403, P404 and P405 (or equivalent)
  • CoCA qualification (highly desirable)
  • Excellent knowledge of UKAS requirements and current asbestos legislation
  • Strong organisational, leadership and people management skills
  • Full UK driving licence
