The Opportunity
Golden Fox Recruitment is working with an established Water Hygiene and Environmental Compliance company that is looking to appoint an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to support a static contract in Birmingham. The role covers a small number of sites within the contract, but there is no regional travel or mobile patch. It’s an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for a consistent working location without spending hours travelling between jobs.
The Role
You will carry out routine Water Hygiene monitoring and maintenance duties across the contract, helping ensure compliance with current Water Safety and Legionella Control guidance. Duties will include:
- Hot and cold-water temperature monitoring
- Flushing little-used outlets
- Water sampling
- Showerhead cleaning and descaling
- TMV inspections and servicing
- Cold-water storage tank inspections
- Maintaining accurate site records and compliance documentation
- Identifying and reporting remedial requirements
- Liaising professionally with clients and site teams
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer or Water Hygiene Technician
- Good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274
- Experience with temperature monitoring, sampling and showerhead maintenance
- TMV servicing experience would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- A professional and dependable approach
