My client is a highly successful UKAS-accredited Asbestos Management Consultancy with over 20 years’ experience in the industry and a strong reputation for quality. They are now looking to take on an Assistant Asbestos Surveyor to support their Lead Surveyors on a major rail contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to enter the asbestos industry and build a career. You’ll start by assisting senior surveyors on site, and with training and support you’ll have the chance to gain your P402 qualification and progress into a qualified Asbestos Surveyor role.

As an Assistant Asbestos Surveyor (2nd Man), you’ll be:

* Supporting Lead Asbestos Surveyors on site-based surveys

* Helping with access requirements such as holding ladders, carrying tools, and assisting in reaching higher areas

* Recording site details and ensuring equipment is prepared and ready

* Travelling from South London to sites across the South Coast as required

* Working within health & safety guidelines at all times

* Gaining hands-on exposure to asbestos surveying and learning directly from experienced professionals

What you’ll need:

* Asbestos Awareness training (desirable)

* PTS (Personal Track Safety) card highly desirable due to rail contract work

* Willingness to travel from South London to South Coast projects

* A practical, hands-on approach and a strong focus on health & safety

* Enthusiasm to learn and progress within the industry
