About the Role
We’re looking for a VP of Treasury to drive our debt-raising efforts and establish our treasury function. You’re a corporate finance expert with deep specialisation in debt markets. You’ve led complex, large-scale debt raises and understand the structuring, pricing and execution required to optimise capital in high-growth, capital-intensive businesses. You’re experienced in operating independently, building trusted relationships with banking partners and have a commercial, analytical mindset that can cut through ambiguity. You’re proactive, technically sharp and confident navigating legal, financial, and risk frameworks in a fast-moving environment. You have a passion for Digital Infrastructure and relevant experience within the sector.
What You’ll be Doing
- Lead and execute large-scale, complex debt financing activities underpinning customer GPU deployments and data centre development, managing external advisors, internal stakeholders and overall timeframes & deliverables.
- Specifically, role to focus on debt element of impending fundraising rounds (company currently in Series B process with planning thereafter to shift towards Series C).
- Lead and execute any opportunistic project financing activities.
- Establish strong, long-term relationships with key banking partners and institutional lenders.
- Use existing network of banks and institutions to identify direct lending opportunities.
- Attend meetings and support negotiations with potential and existing investors.
- Manage capital structure planning and financial risk.
- Contribute to IPO readiness roadmap, ensuring scalability and rigour of treasury processes.
- Further evolve credit pool structuring, considering different lender pools for GPU & Data Centre debt.
- Develop long term roadmap to optimise cost of debt, tenor and diversity of lender base - ensuring refinancings are planned suitably in advance.
- Explore opportunistic vendor financing structures in conjunction with Finance team.
- Stay abreast of market dynamics to optimise capital access and deal terms.
- Work with finance & legal teams to establish risk and control framework including policies, systems, controls, and reporting.
- Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate interest rate and currency risks.
- Work closely with finance team to ensure covenant compliance and liquidity planning.
Day-to-day cash management falls within remit of Payment Operations team, within the accounting department, freeing VP Treasury role up to focus on strategic, value-add workstreams.
About you
- 10+ years’ experience in debt markets.
- Proven track record of leading large scale debt raises.
- Background from large corporate, private equity or top-tier investment bank.
- Experience working within or advising levered businesses.
- Deep understanding of risk frameworks.
- Comfortable working independently with C-suite stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and compliance aspects of debt instruments.
- Excellent commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Digital Infrastructure sector.
- Experience supporting a company through or preparing for IPO.
- Previous experience in high-growth, capital-intensive or infrastructure-led environments.
- Familiarity with treasury tech stack and systems implementation.
