We’ve partnered with one of Europe’s most dynamic and fast-scaling data centre developers to appoint a Vice President of Engineering, a rare opportunity to move from a global platform into a role where you can shape, lead, and build at pace with direct executive impact.
This business is values-led and future-focused, combining deep technical capability with a clear commitment to respect, innovation, and passion. It’s a culture built on action, trust, and energy: low politics, high impact. They’re looking for a leader who shares their belief that great engineering sits at the heart of great infrastructure, and who’s ready to help deliver that vision across Europe with a focus on Scandinavia.
This is an opportunity to take your experience from a hyperscale environment or developer setting and apply it in a more agile, empowered leadership context: building a function from the ground up, driving platform growth, and influencing strategic decisions at the highest level.
The Opportunity
- Build and lead a high-performing, cross-regional engineering function.
- Own the full design and technical lifecycle — from concept to commissioning.
- Deliver scalable, high-efficiency solutions in collaboration with procurement, sales, and delivery.
- Drive best-in-class standards across all engineering disciplines (design, CX, OFCI, delivery).
- Contribute directly to platform strategy and long-term development planning.
What We’re Looking For
- Leadership experience in data centre engineering, ideally within a hyperscale or developer environment.
- Proven ability to scale functions, processes, and teams in fast-paced growth scenarios.
- Deep understanding of cross-border operations and regional variations.
- Hands-on mindset — comfortable building from scratch and navigating complexity.
- Strong stakeholder skills — collaborative, commercially aware, and delivery-focused.
- Willingness to travel regularly (especially in the first 12 months to embed across teams).
Why This Role?
- Step out of the silo - full ownership of engineering, with influence across the business.
- More agility, more impact - make fast decisions, drive change, and build your legacy.
- Executive seat at the table - partner with a bold, capable leadership team.
- Culture that backs its people - open, ambitious, fun, and low on politics.
- Flexible location - work from anywhere in Europe, with regular international travel.
If you’re ready to take your big-platform experience and channel it into something fast-moving, high-growth, and purpose-driven — we’d love to speak with you.
