Are you an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse with a keen interest in Dermatology? This role, based in St. Helens, Merseyside, could be the perfect opportunity for you to develop your skills and work with a varied caseload.
The successful candidate will be a proactive, organised RVN with a passion for dermatology cases. The role involves working closely with the Dermatology Veterinary Surgeon, assisting in the workup of new cases and providing support for ongoing cases.
Key Responsibilities:- Organising the dermatology department
- Ordering of stock
- Maintenance of equipment
- Inpatient care of Dermatology day patients
- General anaesthesia
- Performing specific laboratory tests
- Training members of the nursing team in this area
41.6 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, including a weekend rota. One weekend in five, assisting with the daily running of the hospital. Minimum one bank holiday per year (double time and a day off in lieu). No out-of-hours required, but extra shifts are available if desired.
