The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
As a player-coach, you will establish, scale, and lead our DevOps initiatives, mentoring junior & mid-level team members and driving the adoption of best practices. You'll provide CI/CD and DevOps tool expertise to development teams, focusing on building reusable, automated pipelines with integrated quality and security.
You'll be instrumental in eliminating manual steps in application build and deployment, advocating for a "push-button deploy" vision. This includes guiding technical teams on operational best practices and understanding product development requirements to integrate DevOps principles.
A strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP) for large-scale production deployments is essential. You'll be responsible for building, releasing, and configuring production systems, troubleshooting issues across platforms, and staying current with new technologies. This role also involves evaluating new tech, ensuring system security, documenting processes, and providing architectural guidance for DevOps improvements.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 6 - 8 years in DevOps practices, including CI/CD solution design and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expertise in version control (GitHub/GitLab) and build/release tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Artifactory).
- Proficient in Docker and Packer.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture, networking, and build management tools (Nuget, Maven).
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Jira), monitoring tools (Elastic/Splunk), and Linux/Windows operating systems.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.
