Your Role

First, and foremost, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative solutions for leading global companies. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will work collaboratively with Capgemini colleagues and our clients, supporting them in understanding challenges and opportunities, designing future models to address and realise these, and implementing these solutions in their businesses. The solutions typically cover supply chain planning strategy and operating model design (including processes, organisation, capabilities and enabling technology), transition and transformation support to implement the future solution and further optimisation of the future model once stabilised.

We are constantly developing our thinking around the changing product supply chain in a digitally enabled world. You’ll be part of developing this thinking and making it a reality for our clients across a wide variety of business sectors. You’ll be a key member of our Supply Chain Centre of Excellence which blends deep industry knowledge with practical consulting expertise.

You will contribute to the effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals, applying appropriate implementation approaches based on delivery concepts, consulting tools and methodologies. You’ll be leading major workstreams or smaller projects; responsible for shaping the project (defining work plan, team, dependencies), and delivering to the plan (scope, quality, and time). Working with the team to develop and tailor supply chain planning propositions.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Your Profile

You have:

  • A deep knowledge of supply chain planning processes from one or more of the following areas:
  • Demand forecasting and planning
  • Supply planning (supply network planning, production planning, distribution planning, materials planning)
  • Inventory planning and policy setting
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Work experience in Consumer Products, Manufacturing, Retail, Automotive or other product-based industry (e.g. Life Sciences) in a planning role – or – seasoned consultant advising clients on how to improve their planning processes.
  • Consultancy experience – currently or previously working in a major Consulting firm; or having ‘internal consulting’ experience in industry.
  • Experience in assessment, design, implementation, or operational use of planning systems (e.g. Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, o9 etc).
  • A history of delivery in supply chain improvement and projects, as well as delivering creative but realistic solutions to client problems.
  • An active, well-informed, knowledge of the Consumer Product, Retail, Manufacturing or Automotive sectors and an opinion on key trends, as well as a history of rapid career progression.
  • Knowledge of how technology can be applied to deliver business value in the supply chain and the technology development lifecycle from design to implementation with supporting change management.
  • Experience in consultancy methods and approaches, learned through either working for a consulting organisation or via project implementation with a Retailer, global CP organisation, Manufacturing, Automotive or Life Sciences industry.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
