You will lead the development of education, training, policies, and protocols to prepare our teams to safely care for children with high consequence infectious diseases. Working with infection prevention, infectious diseases, and health & safety teams, you will help ensure safe, compassionate care for children and their families.About You:Registered Nurse (RSCN or RGN) with current NMC registrationIPC qualification with knowledge of HCID management and transmission risksExperience in senior nursing roles with expertise in policy developmentExperience with developing healthcare training, including simulation and competency assessmentsMain duties of the jobYou will report to the Lead Nurse (IPC), and your responsibilities will include:Lead development and implementation of HCID-related education, training, and governance policiesCollaborate with teams across local, regional, and national levelsDeliver evidence-based training and simulation programmes tailored for HCID preparednessProvide pastoral support and communicate complex information to diverse audiencesConduct audits, evaluate training effectiveness, and promote service improvementMaintain knowledge of HCID risks, infection control measures, and emergency response frameworksAbout usAt Sheffield Children\’s, our purpose is clear: to provide healthier futures for children and young people.
