Description
As the interim Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing a team within Financial Management, supporting and advising on strategic finance and business partnering, alongside providing comprehensive financial direction, support, and guidance to various Council services and Directorates.
- Supporting transformation and business-led projects, ensuring timely and robust financial information is provided to support decision-making, and actively shaping project outcomes. Additionally, realigning budgets to deliver savings targets and reporting on timing differences in delivery.
- Providing financial leadership and strategic advice to directorates to develop robust financial plans, ensuring the future needs of the service are reflected in the Council's medium-term financial forecast (MTFF).
Profile
The interim Head of Finance should have significant experience working in a housing department within a local authority and hold a full accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACA, CIMA, or ACCA), along with management experience.
