About the Role
As Head of Commerce Partnerships, you will lead the growth, evolution, and positioning of dmg media’s commerce offering. This senior role is critical to driving commercial success across commerce and affiliate partnerships, integrating content-led commerce solutions into our broader strategic sales narrative. You will own the vision and roadmap for commerce, spearhead client and agency engagement, and work cross-functionally to embed commerce as a core pillar of the Mail Metro Media proposition.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and own the strategic vision for commerce partnerships across dmg media, aligning with wider business and revenue goals.
- Lead a team focused on developing innovative, insight-driven commerce and affiliate campaigns that span full-funnel solutions.
- Act as the senior spokesperson for commerce both internally and externally, building market presence, leading pitches, and driving industry recognition.
- Work closely with the Group Strategic Partnership Director and Sales leadership to embed commerce within broader partnership strategies.
- Collaborate with Trade Marketing, Editorial, and Data teams to develop positioning, proof points, and sales enablement tools for commerce.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agency and client stakeholders—evangelizing the role of commerce in their marketing mix.
- Champion internal education and training to elevate knowledge and confidence in selling commerce solutions across the commercial organisation.
- Monitor performance and pipeline, ensuring delivery of revenue targets, high campaign standards, and ROI for clients.
- Identify emerging trends in commerce, affiliate, D2C and shoppable media to keep dmg media ahead of market expectations.
Person Specification
- 10+ years in digital media, with a proven track record of delivering and scaling Commerce and Affiliate Partnerships.
- Senior leadership experience in building revenue strategies and client-facing initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of content-led commerce, affiliate marketing, social commerce, and ecommerce ecosystems.
- Strong relationships across agency groups and direct-to-consumer brands.
- Experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- A track record of driving innovation and leading multi-platform commercial campaigns.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Exceptional communicator and presenter at all levels.
